Nithya Menon, who is riding high with the appreciations pouring in for her stunning performance in the recent Tamil release Mersal, shared that it’s not true that there are no interesting stories being written anymore. She told that rather than blaming the stories, actors should introspect whether they have the capability to perform brilliantly in the challenging roles, which the story demands.
“I frequently keep on hearing that there is lack of good and interesting stories currently in the film industry. I do not agree to this statement at all. Actors come across many brilliant scripts but do they have the foresight to estimate the potential of that story? Even if they do, can they perform brilliantly in that path-breaking film? In my opinion there is no lack of stories, there is lack of performers, as most of these generation actors always go beyond formulaic stories” Shared Nithya Menon
Nithya is currently working on a multilingual film Prana, which will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. This is a thriller movie set in the backdrop of a beautiful hill station in South India. The actress is very excited about this movie and she says that her character in the movie will give her scope to perform diverse emotions that she could not do till date. This movie is directed by VK Prakash and is the 3rd time both Nithya and VK Prakash are working together.
