Deepika Padukone’s, much-awaited film, Padmavati is getting ready to hit the theatres on December 1st. As the movie is getting close to its release date, more and more protests are also coming up against this film from not just some run of the mill organizations but also from the politicians, who are demanding to stall the release of the movie alleging that director had distorted the historical facts in the movie.
In between all this hullabaloo, Deepika Padukone had shared that it is not possible for anyone for stop the release of her upcoming film “Padmavati” as the film had passed Central Board of Film Certification, “I don’t want to comment on anyone who is trying to stop the release of the film. But I just feel sad to all these dissents, which does not have any reason. What have we gotten ourselves into? And where have we reached as a nation? We have regressed”
“We have made this film with lot of passion and the only people we are answerable to is the censor board, which had certificated us to release the film in theaters. I don’t think these protests are just focused on our film, we are here fighting for much bigger battle. And I know and I believe that nothing can stop the release of this film," said Deepika Padukone
