Jr. Ntr completes 26 years in Film Industry this April. His first film as child artist was in the movie “Brahmarshi Vishwamitra” which was released on April 1991. Jr. acted as Bharata in the Hindi version of Brahmarshi Viswamitra, eventhough the hindi version of the movie never got released, it didn’t stop Jr.Ntr to become what he is today.
His actual name, Tarak, was changed to Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, at the age of 13 while he was acting in the film “Brahmarshi Vishwamitra” directed by Sr NTR. It was the first time when he met his grandfather. His next movie outing as child artist was in “Balaramayanam”, directed by Gunashekar
NTR Jr. debuted as a lead actor in Tollywood with ‘Ninnu Chudalani’ under V.R. Pratap’s direction. Although the movie flopped at box office, NTR's received good marks for his performance.
Director Gunasekhar suggested NTR Jr. to Rajamouli for the movie ‘Student No.1’, which turned to be his first hit film in Tollywood. In fact, ‘Student No.1’ was his debut movie but since his second movie ‘Ninnu Chudalani’ was released first, it became his debut movie.
From Ninnu Chudalani to Janatha Garage, he proved his mettle at the box office and pretty much came with a bang every time after tasting failures. Eventhough many heroes tried their luck from Nandamuri family, no one could withstand in telugu film industry except Balakrishna and Jr.Ntr; it is now only Jr.Ntr who can take the family name to the peaks after Sr.NTR.
