Talented Kollywood actor Raj Kiran, who has acted in several tamil movies, shared recently on how Chiranjeevi and Charan insulted him by replacing him from the movie 'Govindudu Andarivadele’ abruptly without prior notice.
It is known that Raj Kiran was brought on board to play the character of Charan’s grandfather in the movie 'Govindudu Andarivadele' but after shooting for few vital scenes, he was replaced by another actor Prakash Raj. Even Krishnavamsi agreed in an interview that it was Chiranjeevi’s decision to replace Raj Kiran with Prakash Raj.
“Raj Kiran was cast initially and I had doubts about this casting. After shooting a few scenes, I went to him (Chiranjeevi) and he suggested, ‘You can think of taking someone who can carry Telugu nativity’. That was when I replaced Raj Kiran with Prakash Raj” told Krishnavamsi in an interview
Now after nearly three years Raj Kiran bought up this issue saying, “I was not even informed about the replacement despite Prakash Raj repeatedly asked them for a No Objection Certificate from me. Producers still owe me 10 Lakhs and they never got in touch with me later. After the replacement, they also did not inform me. I wouldn't have minded if I was personally explained about the situation. But, as I was waiting for the next schedule, they replaced me and didn't even bothered to inform me. No one can expect such type of treatment by senior actor like Chiranjeevi. The producer Bandla Ganesh also did not settle my remuneration till date.”
