Sharwanand won over Balakrishna, not once but twice. Sharwanand’s ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’ and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ came face to face twice, once at Box Office and next at small screen. Both the times, sharwanand showed his upper hand over Balakrishna.
'Shatamanam Bhavati’ which was made in a budget of 8 crores, recovered a share of 34 crores worldwide i.e. it recovered more than 3 times its budget and stood as a Blockbuster, whereas 'Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’, which was made in a budget of 45 crores recovered a share of 50 cr worldwide.
The first television premiere of 'Shatamanam Bhavati' was aired on April 2, 2017 that fetched an epic TRP of 15.44. Whereas, Balakrishna-starrer 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' managed to get only a TRP of 5.5 for its first TV Premiere.
Fans are pulling their hairs wondering what could be the reason for such a miserable performance of ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni' and how their star’s movie could not even beat Sharwanand’s movie.
