At last the official confirmation on Telugu remake of Bollywood movie “Queen” had been released today. Tamannaah Bhatia will be playing the role of Kangana Ranaut in this remake and G Neelakanta Reddy is directing this film. Both Tamannaah and director Neelakanta are expecting this remake to revive their bedridden careers in Tollywood.
Kangana Ranaut's depiction of Rani in the film Queen had not only earned her accolades from all quarters but also bought her National Award and the Filmfare Award for the Best Actress in a Leading Role. And now “Queen” is being remade in 4 different South Indian languages. Tamannaah is doing Telugu remake, Kajal Aggarwal is doing Tamil, Manjima Mohan is doing Malayalam and Parul Yadav is selected for Kannada.
This is the not the first time Tamannaah is doing the remake of super hit Bollywood film, earlier she acted in the Tamil remake of super-hit Bollywood film “Jab We Met”. Speaking about this film Tamannaah said, ”I always like movies that gives strong message on women empowerment in some form. Queen is one such film where women liberation is shown in powerful way. This is the first time I’m working with director Neelakanta and I’m sure together we both will create magic on big screens”
