Story & Weak Narration
Movie starts on a good note with the establishment of the rivalry between the two families in a village. First half is a light-hearted entertainer mixed with romance and comedy. Most of the first half happens in Spain where Chai (Varun) falls for Meera (Hebah) and tries to win her. Scenes involving Varun and Hebah in the first half are good. Srinivas Reddy, Tejaswi and Raghu Babu’s comedy scenes are good. Srinu vaitla, who is known for his spoofs, had relied on spoof comedy of Oopiri in first half.
It does not mean that first half is so good, it’s just that compared to second half this is fine. It also has many logic less scenes, such as hero’s uncle (Raghu Babu) comes to Europe for sightseeing but does not go to hero’s house because of hero’s stupid plan and no one from his family members asks hero about his uncle.
Incompatible pair of Varun Tej and Hebbah Patel and their poor chemistry is eye sore. Tejaswi accepting love proposal of sreenivas reddy is like action cut pack up. Voice-over of Sreenu Vaitla is another drawback. Fake Eiffel tower graphics and village bus graphics can be even easily caught by 3 year old kid. The village bus scene graphics reminds you of old movies which has car as stationary but projector screen with moving scenery is used to make it look like car is moving. Varun and Hebbah hanging on the bridge graphics work is another worst CG, if we need talk about poor graphics then we should talk about most of the scenes, so lets stop this.
Second-half gets into the serious mode with lot of action and drama. It moves with a dull pace with many characters and becomes crowded with logic less scenes. The main drawback in second half is the presence of several characters and subplots within them that misfired badly. The director failed completely in handling the story in second half. Overall, this film is yet another disappointment from Srinu Vaitla.
Result: Mister Is Far From Perfect
