Megastar Chiranjeevi, who came back after 9 years gap with his prestigious movie Khaidi No.150 had reportedly took 20 crores as his remuneration. Chiranjeevi who has reached the top position in Tollywood with his hard work is now most wanted hero to all directors.
When he left film industry and joined politics, he reportedly charged Rs.8 crores as his remuneration for his last film ‘Shankardada Zindabad. No other Tollywood hero used to charge more than Rs.4 crores at that point of time. That was the gap maintained by chiranjeevi and rest of Tollywood heroes then.
In 1992, ‘The Week Magazine’ published a front-page article on chiranjeevi about remunerations of India’s top stars. Amitabh Bachchan’s remuneration was Rs 75 lakhs at that time. Rajinikanth was second highest charging hero with Rs 1 crore remuneration during the times, where as our Chiranjeevi charged Rs. 1.25 crore for the film Apadbhandavudu.
With his comeback film, everyone expected that he would be charging around Rs.30 crores, but as per the latest income tax filled by the producer of the movie, Ram Charan he mentioned that Chiranjeevi was paid Rs 20 Crores as remuneration.
