Hit on Big Screen, Flop on Small Screen

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s grand entry to big screen with Khaidi No. 150 was well received by audience and became a huge success whereas his entry to small screen with game show ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’, turned into a flop show.

With the success of first three seasons hosted by Nagarjuna, the fourth season was handed over to Chiranjeevi, to make the show even more popular. However, the result came as exact opposite, Decline in TRP ratings of the fourth season showed that popularity of the MEK is completely going down.

Similar incident happened in Bollywood as well, when Amitabh Bachchan was replaced with Shah Rukh Khan to increase the TRP of “Kaun Banega Crorepati", the exact opposite had happened and makers had to eventually stop the show and get back Amitabh Bachchan to the hot seat.

A source in the channel said, “If this TRP ratings continues to goes down further, the channel will seriously look into replacing Chiranjeevi”
