Director A. L. Vijay's marriage to Amala Paul had officially come to an end after the couple were legally granted divorce. From past few days, there has been a rumour doing the rounds saying that the director is planning on getting married again. It was being said that AL Vijay's father AL Alagappan had already begun the search for a bride for him.
Noticing that the rumor was spreading in social media, director Vijay on Friday denied reports on remarriage, describing them as “baseless rumours” and added that his focus will always remain on making films of substance.
"To my dismay i found that in certain section of media, there were some fabricated rumours on my remarriage. This is baseless. These sort of unchecked and unauthorised information disturb me a lot. Media had been largely instrumental in my growth, and I feel I have the moral right to ask them to avoid such "rumours". My commitment to the audience and the media is films of substance, and I will strive hard to deliver it. Thanking you in advance,".
Known for helming films such as “Devi” with Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah last year, Vijay is currently working on post-production of “Vanamagan”, a forest-based Tamil thriller, starring Jayam Ravi and Sayyeshaa Saigal in lead roles.
