Keerthi Suresh’s upcoming Tamil film, Thaana Serndha Koottam, one of the highly awaited Tamil films of this year featuring Suriya, had ran into trouble recently. The movie, which is being directed by Vignesh Shivan, was scheduled to shoot at Kaveri Padithurai temple. However, the priests from the temple stopped the shooting raising objections about the way the shooting was happening.
The priests obstructed the entry of the film crew into the inner sanctum sanctorum. They started protesting against the high-handed attitude of the makers and said that they can’t allow film shooting to be happening at a holy place. But the crew argued with priests that they had already brought the permission to shoot from the concerned authorities. Meanwhile, police officials have entered into the scene and asked the film crew to vacate the place immediately before this is turned into an communal issue.
Watching all this high-tension drama, the heroine of the movie Keerthi Suresh immediately vacated the place and left to her hotel, as the situation had turned tense. The filmmakers later shifted the place of shooting to the Chennai film studio to complete the remaining schedule so that the release date would not be postponed. The makers have already announced that the movie will hit the screens on January 2018, during Pongal holidays.
