The shooting Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film “Bharath Ane Nenu”, under the direction of Koratala Siva, which was happening in Lucknow had been stalled abruptly. The unit had moved to Lucknow at the beginning of this week to shoot some crucial scenes on Mahesh Babu and Prakash Raj. Shooting in Lucknow was supposed to go till the end of this month.
The reason for this abrupt ending of the Lucknow schedule is because of the restrictions placed by Archeological Survey of India (ASI). The team had planned to shoot at Musa Bagh Lucknow, which is an historical garden scenic spot built by fifth Nawab of Awadh, SaadatAli Khan on the banks of the river Gomti. When the makers approached ASI for the required permission to shoot on this historical place, they had straight away received the reply as big “No”.
A close source from the ASI department shared the details saying, “ASI doesn’t want to spoil this 200 year old Musa Bagh surroundings by allowing film shootings at this location. Yes, the makers of “Bharath Ane Nenu” came to us asking for permission, but we denied them the clearance as we have seen earlier how the location had been spoilt by filmmakers. They don’t even make an effort to clean their mess after completion of shooting. We are no more interested in allowing film makers to spoil these heritage sites of India”
