Telugu film producer, S Radhakrishna, who had brought the remake rights of Akshay Kumar’s super hit black comedy Hindi film Jolly LLB 2, had approached Pawan Kalyan to star in this remake. It is heard that the Pawan Kalyan watched the film and gave a green signal to the producer.
The shooting of this Telugu remake is expected to begin after Pawan Kalyan completes the shooting of AM Rathnam’s movie. This film is the sequel to Jolly LLB that was released in 2013 and won National Film Award for best feature film in hindi starring Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani in the lead roles.
Earlier, speculations were rife that Venkatesh will be reprising the role of Akshay Kumar in this remake but things did not materialize and the script went to Pawan Kalyan. Jolly LLB 2 released in February this year that had Akshay Kumar, Huma Qureshi and Annu Kapoor in the lead roles.
Fans of Pawan Kalyan are not happy with the news, as they want the actor to act in fresh stories instead of remakes. Even Pawan Kalyan’s last remake film “Katamarayudu” bombed heavily at the box office. In addition, he had already agreed to act in “Vedalam” remake for AM Rathnam, which will be helmed by R.T. Neason after completion of Pawan - Trivikram's movie.
