Sushant Singh Rajput, who got famous with his potrayal of cricketer Dhoni in the film M.S Dhoni, is entangled with legal battle of his upcoming film Raabta. After the release of the film’s trailer, many had pointed out the uncanny resemblance of the Raabta story with Rajamouli’s Telugu super hit film Magadheera, starring Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal which was released in 2009.
Magadheera producer Allu Arvind, who produced the film under the banner of Geetha Arts, have filed a plagiarism case against Raabta’s makers in Hyderabad court. He submitted his arguments saying that Raabta had copied his Magadheera storyline and is in violation of its copyright. The court has issued a notice to the Raabta makers and asked them to appear on 1st June to decide if the film will be permitted to release on 9th June or not.
Both the films have lot of similarities in the main premise, which is the story of two estranged lovers who could not unite in one life, meet in another life to fulfil their long lasting relationship by taking revenge on the antagonist who tried to separate them.
