Actress Richa Quits Film Industry

Tollywood Actress Richa Gangopadhyay, who debuted in Telugu films with Sekhar Kammula’s 2010 movie “Leader”, had announced that she is leaving film industry for good. She had acted in nine films in the past seven years and out of them six were Telugu movies. Her last film is Akkineni Nagarjuna’s “Bhai”, which bombed at box office and diminished heroine chances to Richa.

From the past four years, she did not get any good offers and as a result she way staying away from the spotlight. Yesterday she tweeted about her intention to quit films, “For those still asking “when is my next movie” after almost 5 years of my exit from films...Google is your friend ;). I am in a new phase of life, no acting ambitions in it :)”

Soon she got many questions from various people enquiring whether she is leaving film industry because she has plans to get married. However, she quickly quashed those rumors saying “Pretty disgusted to be getting so many Qs asking if I quit acting “to get married”. Can ppl not have other career ambitions in life??”. As per the industry sources, the former actress is now pursuing MBA course at Washington University’s Olin School of Business and wants to settle down as Management professional.
