Famous Director, Dasari Narayana Rao passed away due to respiratory problems and kidney failure. He celebrated his 75th birthday on May 4. His condition became serious four days ago and he was taken to KIMS hospital, where his health deteriorated and was kept in ICU. The hospital bulletin on Tuesday evening said Dasari’s condition was critical. He eventually suffered an organ failure from which he couldn’t recover.
He was the father-figure of Telugu film industry, who always took care of the artists in trouble. He directed 151 films and produced 53 films. He even entered the Guinness Book of Records and Limca book of world records for directing the most number of films.
Dasari Narayana Rao made his debut as a director of Tata Manavadu in 1972, for which he won the Nandi Award. This film cemented his place in Telugu film industry. His last wish was to make two movies, one with Pawan Kalyan in the lead role and another biopic on Jayalalithaa; however, neither of these films took off.
