The first Indian war at sea film, 'Ghazi' collected a share of Rs 27 crore in its full run worldwide and is tagged as Super Hit. Directed by Sankalp Reddy, Ghazi, the first of its kind cinema in the country, had garnered thundering applause from the audience and critics as well.
The film features Taapsee Pannu as the female lead, Kay Kay Menon, Om Puri and Atul Kulkarni were seen in important roles. It is based on true incidents that happened during the Indo Pak war of 1971 and released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages.
It is heard that Sankalp is now in talks with young mega hero Varun Tej, who starred recently in Sreenu Vaitla's disaster movie 'Mister'. However, an official announcement and more details are awaited regarding this project.
